Inviting, relaxed, gracious

St. James Place, on the grounds of the original Duplantier Plantation, offers the natural beauty of rolling lawns, a fishing and boating lake, and majestic oak trees, combined with beautiful landscaping, flowering trees and shrubs. The 52 acre campus consists of four major buildings, three of which are joined together.

Most residences offer an inviting patio or balcony for relaxed visiting with neighbors or quiet time spent alone. Residents can walk under cover, if they wish, from one end of the campus to the other, but can also enjoy the on-campus transportation, a tram or a bus, as well.

The interior street that encircles St. James Place provides a walking route of 8/10 of a mile. When you come for a visit, you will likely see residents strolling, riding bicycles, or walking their dogs around our lovely campus.
