The center of community life

Our gated community is composed of two residential independent living areas: The south commons (opened in 1983) and the north commons (opened in 2001). Each area of the campus has its own common area available to all residents. The southern part of our campus features St. James Square, which consists of a lobby, a bridge room, a crafts room, a mail-box area, and a pastry shop. There's also a convenience store, a library, a large meeting room, a chapel, a buffet-style dining room, and two recreation rooms for movies, cards, billiards, and ping pong. Adjoining the south commons is the swimming pool, the whirlpool tub, and the woodworking shop. All of these features are only a short walk for residents who live in the southern part of the campus, and a longer walk or a tram-ride away for the residents who live in the northern area.

In the northern part of our campus, there's the Duplantier Commons. This area consists of a lobby, a lovely living room, a cozy bar, the Duplantier dining room, a library, the Duplantier auditorium and the residents' private dining room. Wherever your interests lie, St. James Place commons areas offer many opportunities for simply relaxing or getting as involved as you like!
