A life well lived is one surrounded by friends

Of all the innovative programs, fine dining, and architectural attractiveness of the campus, St. James Place's finest asset is its residents. They are friendly, helpful, and interesting. There is an indescribable sense of camaraderie you'll notice even when you're here as a visitor. New residents report they are made to feel welcome and at home, even if they came here not knowing anyone. Many of our residents have traveled the world and lived in other states and countries. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge gained by life experience and work experience from many different walks of life, from art to zoology, and everything in between. Every day lived at St. James Place is a day in which you can meet someone new or get to know someone a little better.

Here are what a few of our independent living residents have to say about the opportunities to socialize and to make friends at St. James Place:

"St. James Place is my security blanket. It not only answers all of my needs but also enhances my daily living with wonderful friendship (both old and new), a great apartment, and excellent dining."

– Pat Hines

“It only took as a few months to feel like we were at home. The atmosphere is similar to a small town college campus, and some people describe it like being on a permanent cruise.”

– John and Ruby Ann Firestone
