Love to Learn? St. James Place is now a satellite campus for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at LSU – St. James Place Chapter . Each semester, the St. James Place Chapter offers various classes ranging from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.

Life Care contract: no need to count on limited long term care contracts - or worry about not having one. Built into the St. James Place contract is first rate long term care protection ensuring estate preservation as well as quality care should it be needed.

Three Certified Wellness Instructors: Some communities have none. Our staff has special expertise in senior fitness and can design a program to help you achieve your personal goals. The Fitness Center is open to the public on a membership basis.

5000 Square Foot Fitness Center: Choose your health regimen, whether Pilates, Yoga, the ever popular line or Zumba dancing, Tai Chi, weight training, stationary bikes of all types, treadmills, and more. Our Wellness Instructors are also available for Personal Training sessions.

Number of meals in your monthly fee: 1 each day. Prepared by an award-winning Chef. Pick your restaurant each day- either the elegant Duplantier Dining Room with a prime view of the historic Duplantier Oak, or the casual dining room, Le Petit Carre’. Family Health Center South - Clinic: in partnership with Baton Rouge General Hospital staffed by 4 physicians Monday to Friday.

What DON’T we have? A scarcity of Tiger fans! We are the overwhelming choice of many Tigers, alumnae, professors and staff of Louisiana State University. Our St. James Place Tigers enjoy being just over a mile from LSU, making its many programs and sporting events easily accessible.
