Five Steps to a Great New Lifestyle...
- Visit us. Meet with a member of our Marketing Team to tour our campus, learn about the benefits of Life Care, and experience what St. James Place has to offer! If the apartment you would like is not currently available or you’re not ready yet, learn how to become a future resident by utilizing our wait list program.
- When you’re ready to join us, choose the apartment best suited to your lifestyle, make a 10% deposit of the entry fee, and complete required applications. Next meet with our Health Services Team for a physical and cognitive assessment to gauge your ability for Independent Residential Living.
- Once qualified, congratulations! You are guaranteed access to St. James Place. You can put your home on the market, and start planning your move.
- You’ll have three months to close from the date of your deposit. In many cases, you’ll be able to choose from a palette of paint and flooring color options, or request minor changes (for an additional fee).
- We’ll set a convenient closing date. You’ll sign the Residency Agreement and provide, in most cases, the balance of your Entrance Fee. The Monthly Service Fee billing will be sent at a later time (within a few weeks), and you’ll be all set to enjoy the most generous Services & Amenities package in Louisiana.

There’ll be no strangers at St. James Place because, even before you move in, we’ll make sure there are plenty of opportunities for you to visit and meet your new neighbors. We'll introduce you to your Wellness Team at Fitness 55+, and we will help you design a personalized program to help you achieve your fitness goals. Enjoy a work out followed by a swim in our newly enclosed, heated pool, and finish with a soak in the whirlpool Spa. Or just relax with new friends at Happy Hour!
