When you think "nursing care," you may conjure up images of an institutional or sterile environment. The state-of-the-art St. James Place Nursing Care center, located in the beautiful Health & Wellness building, could not be further from that image! It provides 24-hour nursing care in a building that is uniquely designed and extraordinarily beautiful. But the real difference is the caliber of care provided - it’s superb!

Residents receive personalized attention from a professional, compassionate, trained staff. Both the physical environment and the excellent care truly set it apart from all the other nursing care homes you've ever seen. The highly dedicated, experienced Director of Nursing as well as Administrator are passionate about carrying out the St. James Place mission, and lead the staff to strive for the most ideal, cutting edge level of nursing care possible.
Our nursing care center is proud to offer:
- Lovely décor with elegant dining rooms, a chef onsite preparing appetizing cuisine and freedom of choice for menu selections. There are ample balconies all around, a grand piano used for concerts, large common areas for a rich variety of activities and events, cocktail hours, and a full time activities manager on staff.
- Physician’s clinic on site staffed Monday - Friday
- Freedom to rise and retire - and even bathe - at times of Resident's choosing
- No overhead paging system
- No institutional long halls! Rather, we offer Neighborhoods with mostly private rooms
- Personal laundry done by care givers, separate from others’ clothes
- Flexible times for medicine administration
- Rehab nearby on the first floor
- Care Tracker – a cutting edge electronic technology introduced in 2009 that provides data collection and reporting systems for long term care to enhance resident care.

Short Term Stays:
All nursing services are Resident- and family-centered, with a preventative and restorative focus. St. James Place is a Medicare-certified skilled care provider for those who need rehabilitation after a hospital stay. Direct admission is possible for Skilled Nursing stays. In addition to long-term stays, Life Care Residents enjoy the option of short-term skilled stays in nursing care, and St. James Place will hold their independent living apartment for up to three months. All efforts are made to facilitate the Resident returning to independent living if at all possible.
